"L’ecole des métiers d’art " (school of artistic crafts) was originally to be found in the reception center saint joseph building.

At first, the school was meant for the training of high-level artisans specialized in goldsmith’s trade/silversmith’s trade, cabinetwork and later, ceramics. art workshops opened after the first world war with goldsmith /silversmith’s trade, cabinetwork sections and, recently, a ceramics section.

Today, the abbey of maredsous is extending this artistical tradition because it houses a ceramics workshop.
