Maredsous is a Benedictine abbey who chose to organize a school.

They wanted to set up a quality education and teaching methods inspired from Benedictine tradition.

Saint-Benedict secondary school was founded in 1883 and has been following the Gospel and the Rule of Saint Benedict ever since.
