A fragile microbial ecosystem has settled down in our caves. That is why visitors are not allowed to visit the cheese factory.
We have opened this small cheese factory museum in M ay 2016 in order to show you a part of our story and of our caves but also to explain how the maturing of the cheese works. This place will delight cheese lovers.
Our guide will tell you all you need to know about the story and the development of the Maredsous® cheese. Come and let you seduce by this warm space inside the very cheese factory, only a few meters from the Abbey.
